New Models from Mercedes-Benz Set to Debut: 2012 C-Class and CLS Shooting Brake

Coming to dealerships (such as Atlanta Classic Cars in Duluth) later this year are a couple of popular Mercedes models with enticing new looks inside and out.

First up is the revised C-Class, a car with every new generation that looks more and more like its big Benz brothers. What's new for 2012?

For the U.S. market we get refreshed front and rear styling, three more-efficient engines, a new gearbox, a revised interior and driving aids previously only available on M-B's more expensive models, including Lane Keeping Assist, Brake Assist, Adaptive Highbeam Assist, Blind Spot Assist and Parktronic. And yes, this means no diesels for us. No manual gearboxes, either, but that's not so surprising. The 7-speed automatic transmissions, we're certain, will perform smoothly and flawlessly. All the engines reside under a new aluminum hood and behind a facelifted nose featuring new headlights. Around back, new LED taillamps complete the visual modernization.

As soon as the new C-Class arrives in America, Atlanta Classic Cars will have the area's best selection, plus attractive pricing.

The upcoming "Shooting Brake" CLS for 2012 is a completely different animal. It's a totally unique, swoopy wagon that demands attention. We can't wait to see it on Atlanta byways, and that's been the case ever since the dramatic model made its debut at the Beijing Motor Show last year.

The cool thing about the CLS shooting brake is that it's a wa
gon that echoes the lines of a coupe. With a long bonnet, narrow-look windows with frameless side windows, and dynamic roof sloping back towards the rear. It is only when taking a second look that it becomes clear that the Shooting Brake actually has four doors and a large rear lid. One thing we know for sure. Whenever the CLS wagon comes to town, Atlanta Classic Cars will boast the area's finest collection.
